Guard Kevin Porter Jr. will remain with the Milwaukee Bucks after opting into his $5.4 million player option for the 2026-27 season, according to Michael Scotto of HoopsHype.
The 26-year-old joined Milwaukee in a mid-season trade from the Los Angeles Clippers during the 2024-25 campaign. Limited by a knee injury, he appeared in 38 games last season but still averaged 17.4 points, 7.4 assists and 2.2 steals while starting 36 times.
Porter returns to a crowded Bucks backcourt that also features Ryan Rollins, recently acquired Tyler Herro, Kasparas Jakucionis and lottery pick Brayden Burries, selected 10th overall on Tuesday. Porter’s slashing style and creative ball-handling provide a different look alongside Milwaukee’s other perimeter options.
The Bucks are still awaiting decisions from forwards Taurean Prince and Gary Trent Jr., each holding a $3.8 million player option for next season.
