The Golden State Warriors used their second-round pick in the 2026 NBA Draft to take Florida State guard Lajae Jones on June 24.
The 22-year-old joins a Warriors roster coming off another postseason appearance and adds depth to the team’s backcourt rotation. Jones spent three seasons with the Seminoles, emerging as one of Florida State’s top playmakers before declaring for the draft.
Golden State entered the night holding one selection in each round and opted to address its perimeter needs by choosing Jones midway through the second round. Terms of his rookie contract will be finalized after the NBA’s customary negotiation period.
Jones is the latest Florida State product to reach the NBA, extending the program’s run of consecutive drafts with at least one player selected.
