The New York Knicks opened the second round of the 2026 NBA Draft on June 24 by choosing German guard Jack Kayil, making him the club’s first selection of the night.
Kayil, who played professionally in Germany before entering the draft, becomes the latest international addition to New York’s backcourt. The pick was announced shortly after the draft resumed following the completion of the first round.
Team representatives did not immediately disclose contract details or comment on Kayil’s projected role for the upcoming season.
