The Los Angeles Lakers are actively exploring offers for the No. 25 selection in the 2026 NBA Draft, according to a report published Tuesday by the New York Post.

Team officials have let rival clubs know the pick is available, the report said, as the organization looks for immediate roster help instead of adding another rookie. The front office’s stance reflects mounting pressure to contend right away.

The 2026 draft is set for later this week, leaving the Lakers with a limited window to finalize any deal before they are on the clock. No details about potential trade partners or targeted veterans were disclosed.

The Lakers finished last season 47-35 and were eliminated in the first round of the playoffs, intensifying expectations for a deeper postseason run. Packaging the first-round pick for established talent is viewed internally as one way to bolster the supporting cast.

Los Angeles currently holds only the No. 25 choice in this year’s draft after previous trades moved other selections.

The team has not commented publicly on the report.
