The Atlanta Hawks and veteran guard CJ McCollum have reached agreement on a one-year, $21 million contract extension, ESPN reported Wednesday.
The short-term deal keeps McCollum in Atlanta for at least one more season and removes him from next summer’s free-agency market. Additional contract details, including any incentives or option language, were not disclosed.
McCollum’s extension solidifies the Hawks’ backcourt rotation as the club prepares for the upcoming NBA campaign.
