The trade market around Detroit Pistons big man Isaiah Stewart is heating up, with multiple contenders gauging his availability, according to league sources.
Jake Fischer of The Stein Line reported that the 25-year-old center is “bracing” for a potential departure after The Athletic’s Sam Amick revealed Detroit had opened trade talks involving him. The Pistons are said to be chasing additional shooting and playmaking and view Stewart as a primary chip in those negotiations.
Fischer listed the Milwaukee Bucks, Boston Celtics, San Antonio Spurs and Miami Heat among the teams that have shown interest. Stewart is owed $15 million for the 2026-27 season, with a $15 million team option for 2027-28.
Marc Stein previously noted the Pistons could land guard Tyler Herro in a multi-team scenario that would send Giannis Antetokounmpo from Milwaukee to Miami. Fischer added that Milwaukee and the Milwaukee-born Herro would have mutual interest, but the Bucks would likely reroute the 26-year-old to stockpile further assets.
Despite actively shopping Stewart, Detroit remains intent on re-signing free-agent forward Tobias Harris following his strong postseason showing, Fischer reported.
