The Los Angeles Dodgers will honor Lakers star Luka Doncic with a bobblehead giveaway on Friday, Aug. 21, when they face the Pittsburgh Pirates at Dodger Stadium.
The collectible shows Doncic in his purple-and-gold No. 77 uniform standing on a Dodgers-themed base, underscoring the ongoing partnership between two of the city’s flagship franchises.
This is the second Lakers-themed promotion on the Dodgers’ 2026 calendar. A Shaquille O’Neal bobblehead is scheduled for distribution on Saturday, June 20. The organizations have frequently recognized one another’s achievements, including the Lakers’ on-court tribute after the Dodgers captured their second consecutive World Series title in 2025.
The team has not confirmed whether Doncic will appear at the ballpark or throw out the ceremonial first pitch on his giveaway night. The 27-year-old has yet to take the mound for such an honor since arriving in Los Angeles via trade in 2025.
Doncic is entering the offseason fully cleared for basketball activities after a Grade 2 left hamstring strain sidelined him for the Lakers’ 2026 playoff run. Cleared on May 28, he is expected to skip international duty with Slovenia and arrive at training camp in September with a clean bill of health.
First-pitch time for the Aug. 21 game is set for 7:10 p.m. PT. Tickets are available through the Dodgers’ official channels.
