Several high-profile EuroLeague players remain without contracts for 2026/27, according to a survey by Stefan Acevski of Eurohoops. Former NBA power forward Trey Lyles, who helped Real Madrid reach the EuroLeague Final Four last season, tops Acevski’s free-agent list. The ranking also features center Daniel Theis (AS Monaco), guard Cory Joseph (Olympiacos) and forward Braxton Key (Valencia).
Fournier Reflects on Historic Season
French swingman Evan Fournier collected MVP honors in both the EuroLeague Final Four and the Greek League Finals while guiding Olympiacos to a rare championship double. The 12-year NBA veteran, whose last NBA appearance came with Detroit in 2023/24, praised the club’s fan base and called for a new postseason format.
“Panathinaikos is a really good team. They play extremely hard, but to be honest, Europe has to think of a better way to end the season,” Fournier said. “To go from the EuroLeague to domestic finals is very hard. You kind of check out, win or lose. I wish we could have ended the season with the EuroLeague and not the Greek Finals.”
Ferrell Stays in Montenegro
Veteran guard Yogi Ferrell has officially re-signed with Buducnost, the club announced. The 33-year-old spent five seasons in the NBA before moving overseas and posted strong numbers in both EuroCup and ABA League play during the 2025/26 campaign.
Partizan, Washington Part Ways
Serbian powerhouse Partizan has cut ties with Duane Washington after two years together. The 26-year-old guard, who appeared in two NBA seasons, led the ABA League in scoring this year and averaged 14.9 points in EuroLeague action while shooting 45.0% from the field, 37.7% from three and 80.0% at the foul line over 21.9 minutes per game.
