The Denver Nuggets signed guard Dane Goodwin and promptly placed him on waivers, according to the NBA’s official transaction log released on September 19, 2025.
The 6-foot-6 Goodwin is believed to have agreed to an Exhibit 10 contract, a one-year deal that can convert into a G League bonus. By being waived, he becomes eligible for a bonus of up to $85,300 if he remains with Denver’s G League affiliate, the Grand Rapids Gold, for at least 60 days. The Gold obtained his returning player rights from the Salt Lake City Stars in an August trade, making that scenario likely.
Goodwin went undrafted in 2023 and has since been signed and released by both the Sacramento Kings and Utah Jazz. Last season with the Stars, he averaged 11.5 points per game and shot 40.4 percent from three-point range.
The Ohio native spent five years at Notre Dame, compiling career averages of 10.8 points and 4.4 rebounds while shooting .443 from the field, .391 from beyond the arc, and .823 at the free-throw line.
