The Denver Nuggets are preparing for an active offseason and will entertain trade offers for nearly every player except three-time MVP Nikola Jokic, according to ESPN’s Shams Charania.
Charania reported on the network’s “Inside the NBA Tip-Off Show” that Denver’s front office intends to evaluate “virtually every” roster spot after the club’s first-round playoff exit to the Minnesota Timberwolves. The Nuggets entered the 2026 postseason with high expectations but were eliminated in five games.
While Jokic remains the franchise cornerstone, the organization is looking for ways to maximize its current championship window. The decision follows a third straight season in which Denver failed to reach the Western Conference finals.
Mixed results for Murray
One of the season’s bright spots was Jamal Murray, who averaged a career-best 25.4 points, earned his first All-Star nod and was named to an All-NBA team, per ESPN’s Zach Kram. Despite that breakthrough, the guard struggled in the playoffs, shooting 36 percent from the field against Minnesota.
Next steps
League observers expect Denver to consider both minor and significant moves before the 2026-27 campaign. Whether the front office opts for incremental tweaks or a larger overhaul, the primary goal is clear: add more help around Jokic as the club pursues another deep postseason run.
