The Toronto Raptors have secured general manager Bobby Webster with a multiyear contract extension and added the title of executive vice president, the team announced on Tuesday.

Webster, 41, is entering his 10th season overseeing the club’s basketball operations. He assumed full control of the front office last summer following the departure of longtime team president Masai Ujiri.

“We’re building something special here, and I’m proud to continue to lead the Toronto Raptors as we work toward our next championship,” Webster said in a statement. “This is a franchise that’s focused on the future, and we’re ready for what’s next.”

The deal follows Toronto’s return to the postseason for the first time in four years.

“Bobby has an elite understanding of the game and the NBA,” Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment CEO Keith Pelley said. “We’ve seen the results, and we believe in where his leadership will take us.”

The Raptors also announced new contracts for three other front-office officials: vice president of player personnel and assistant general manager Dan Tolzman; vice president of basketball strategy and research Keith Boyarsky; and vice president of operations Tyla Flexman.

League sources told Hoops Wire that head coach Darko Rajaković, who has one year left on his deal, could be the next staff member to receive an extension.
