The Miami Heat will televise all non-national games on WPLG Local 10 during the 2026-27 NBA season, the franchise announced Monday.

The over-the-air agreement follows the shutdown of FanDuel Sports Network’s NBA coverage, which left several clubs searching for new local partners. Under the deal, every Heat contest not picked up by a national broadcaster will be shown free of charge across South Florida.

Free streaming option available

Fans outside WPLG’s broadcast footprint can watch via the station’s new streaming service, Local 10 Plus Platinum, also free to viewers.

Continuity behind the camera

Heat executive vice president and chief marketing officer Michael McCullough said production crews and on-air voices—including play-by-play announcer Eric Reid and analyst John Crotty—will remain in place. “Our broadcast behind-the-scenes people are still the same. Our on-air talent is still the same,” McCullough noted, emphasizing that the move simply widens access to the existing broadcast product.

WPLG began working with the Heat last season, simulcasting 12 games that were originally produced by FanDuel Sports Network.

The new pact currently covers only the 2026-27 campaign, and the Heat plan to release their full local broadcast schedule after the NBA finalizes its league-wide calendar in August.
