Sacramento Kings guard De’Aaron Fox said on June 7, 2026 that the San Antonio Spurs must hold on to “unwavering belief” as they prepare for what he called a formidable challenge in the upcoming NBA Finals.
In an exclusive interview published by the New York Post, Fox emphasized that confidence, rather than experience, will be the deciding factor once the championship series begins. He pointed to the pressure the Spurs will face on the league’s biggest stage and insisted that steadfast self-trust is essential.
San Antonio advanced to the Finals after capturing the Western Conference title and will meet the Eastern Conference champion in a best-of-seven series scheduled to open later this month. Fox noted that adversity throughout the postseason has already tested the Spurs’ resolve and believes that same resilience must continue against a heavily favored opponent.
The 28-year-old guard stopped short of predicting a winner but reiterated that maintaining belief “from start to finish” will be critical to the Spurs’ hopes of lifting the Larry O’Brien Trophy.
