The New York Knicks will prohibit all bags and introduce “TSA-style” screening for spectators attending Game 3 of the NBA Finals on June 6, 2026, the team announced.
According to the Knicks, the enhanced measures were ordered because former President Donald Trump is expected to be in attendance. Metal detectors and additional security checkpoints will be in place, and fans are being urged to arrive earlier than usual to clear inspection lines.
The no-bag rule applies to purses, backpacks, camera cases and all other personal bags. Medical and infant supplies must be carried in transparent containers and will be subject to inspection.
Team officials said the policies mirror airport procedures and are intended to ensure the safety of all guests during the high-profile event. Details on when arena doors will open were not immediately released.
