The Memphis Grizzlies hosted Vanderbilt guard Tyler Tanner on Wednesday, giving the projected first-rounder a final look just hours before the NCAA’s 11:59 p.m. ET withdrawal cutoff. Marquette’s Chase Ross, Indiana’s Sam Alexis and Louisville’s JVonne Hadley also worked out at the team’s practice facility, according to Damichael Cole of The Memphis Commercial Appeal.
Tanner, still undecided on staying in the 2026 NBA Draft, could weigh feedback from a club that owns this year’s No. 3, No. 16 and No. 32 selections.
Prospects pull out of draft
Three underclassmen removed their names ahead of the deadline:
- Flory Bidunga — moving from Kansas to Louisville — will return to school, per On3’s Joe Tipton.
- Shane Blakeney — transferring from Drexel to South Carolina — also withdrew, reports CBS Sports’ Jon Rothstein.
- Anton Bonke — headed from Charlotte to Michigan State — opted out as well, agent Scott Nichols told DraftExpress’ Jon Chepkevich.
Bidunga is entering his junior year in 2026-27, while Blakeney and Bonke will be seniors and automatically draft-eligible next spring.
Warriors expand workout list
The Golden State Warriors added three guards — Nevada’s Corey Camper, South Carolina’s Kobe Knox and San Diego State’s Reese Dixon-Waters — to Wednesday’s group session that already featured Dillon Mitchell, Tre Donaldson and Tyler Nickel, the team announced.
Hornets eye possible two-way candidates
Wisconsin guard Nick Boyd, Marshall forward Wyatt Fricks, Kansas State guard Nate Johnson and Kansas guard Tre White visited the Charlotte Hornets for a pre-draft workout, league sources told Rod Boone of The Charlotte Observer. Charlotte currently holds picks No. 14 and No. 18; Boyd and White are ranked No. 76 and No. 93 on ESPN’s top-100 board, suggesting the franchise could be evaluating undrafted two-way options.
Illness sidelines Kings’ visitor
Cincinnati forward Baba Miller was scheduled to join a group workout with the Sacramento Kings on Wednesday but missed the session due to illness, KCRA’s Sean Cunningham reported.
The early-entry withdrawal deadline expired at midnight Eastern, leaving prospects who remained in the draft pool committed to the 2026 class.
