The Washington Wizards have waived two-way swingman Jaylen Martin, the club announced Monday afternoon, opening one of their three two-way roster spots.

Martin, 21, joined Washington in February on a two-year two-way contract. The 6-6 wing appeared in 13 NBA games off the bench, averaging 5.8 points, 3.4 rebounds and 1.3 assists over 18.0 minutes per contest.

In the G League, Martin suited up for three different affiliates during the 2024-25 regular season, logging 13.5 points, 3.7 rebounds and 2.1 assists across 31 games while playing 26.9 minutes a night.

Undrafted in 2023 after a stint with Overtime Elite, the Florida native began his professional career in 2023-24 on a two-way deal with the New York Knicks but did not see game action. He later signed a two-year two-way agreement with the Brooklyn Nets following the 2024 trade deadline, making his NBA debut last season and totaling five minutes over three appearances before the Nets waived him in January.

With Martin’s departure, Jamir Watkins and Tristan Vukcevic remain as Washington’s two current two-way players.
