NEW YORK — The NBA on Thursday named New York Knicks wing OG Anunoby to the league’s All-Defensive Second Team, marking the veteran’s third career appearance on an All-Defense list.
Anunoby, widely lauded for his ability to guard every position on the floor, drew praise from the organization for a skill set the club called “off the charts” in terms of versatility. The honor recognizes his work during the 2025-26 season, during which he routinely matched up against the opposition’s top perimeter threats.
The 6-foot-7 forward is the first Knick to land on an All-Defensive team since the franchise’s current playoff run began. His previous selections came while he was with the Toronto Raptors.
Anunoby joined New York via trade and quickly became a cornerstone of head coach Tom Thibodeau’s defensive schemes, leading the team in both steals per game and defensive win shares.
