The Dallas Mavericks and head coach Jason Kidd have mutually decided to part ways after five seasons, veteran NBA reporter Marc Stein said on Tuesday.
Kidd, 51, assumed the Mavericks’ bench in 2021 and steered the club to an NBA Finals berth in 2024. No successor has been named, and details of the separation were not disclosed.
The coaching change marks a significant shift for Dallas as the organization begins its search for a new leader ahead of the next NBA season.
