A scout told Freeman that Camara’s shooting, rebounding and basketball IQ make him a long-term piece, adding that he would excel alongside higher-end talent.
Thybulle Faces Unrestricted Free Agency
Matisse Thybulle enters the summer without expectations but expressed interest in re-signing with Portland. The defensive specialist has appeared in just 45 regular-season contests over the past two years because of injuries. Scouts cited his exceptional off-ball anticipation yet questioned his on-ball defense and availability; one suggested the Blazers should let him depart, saying, “Are you really going to count on him when you’re trying to win games?”
Rookie Hansen, Third-Year Murray Under Review
Freeman’s series also examined first-round rookie Yang Hansen and forward Kris Murray, who is entering the final season of his rookie deal. Scouts offered lukewarm assessments of Hansen’s inaugural year and were notably critical of Murray, questioning his positional fit and advising the club to consider moving on.
