Baylor wing Cameron Carr, North Carolina State guard Matt Able and UConn center Tarris Reed Jr. were among the players who improved their draft outlook during this week’s NBA Draft Combine in Chicago, according to ESPN’s Jeremy Woo and Jeff Borzello.

Not everyone left with momentum. Woo reports that Arizona forward Koa Peat struggled in shooting drills, while Vanderbilt point guard Tyler Tanner had sub-par showings in both Tuesday and Wednesday scrimmages, potentially hurting their stock.

Early-entry decisions

Texas wing Dailyn Swain is leaning toward remaining in the 2026 draft pool, Borzello writes, but Florida center Rueben Chinyelu and Louisville commit Flory Bidunga appear more inclined to return to campus for their senior and junior seasons, respectively.

Peterson addresses health, positional fit

Projected top-four pick Darryn Peterson told reporters he has received fewer health-related questions than expected during combine interviews. “Actually, surprisingly, not a lot,” the Kansas star said, noting that a previous ESPN feature already answered many concerns. Teams will review his medical information this week while using interviews to assess his character. Peterson added he is comfortable playing on or off the ball and cited Anthony Edwards, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Devin Booker and Donovan Mitchell as players he studies.

Stojakovic weighing draft versus Illinois return

Junior wing Andrej Stojakovic said he is “both feet in” the draft process but has not ruled out returning to Illinois. The son of former NBA All-Star Peja Stojakovic has already worked out for the Grizzlies and Celtics and plans to gather feedback up to the May 27 withdrawal deadline. “Going back to school is also a really, really good option for me,” he noted.

Momcilovic seeks first-round security

Iowa State sharpshooter Milan Momcilovic remains focused on staying in the draft and said a guaranteed contract would likely seal the decision. “If it’s the later second round, those are usually two-way contracts, so then I’ll probably go back,” the senior-to-be explained, adding that he would transfer if he returns to college.

The combine continues through the week, giving executives additional time to evaluate prospects before the early-entry withdrawal deadline.
