The 2025 EuroBasket wrapped up on September 14 with Germany edging Turkey, 88-83, to claim the gold medal. As NBA players return for training camp and EuroLeague rosters prepare for a September 30 tip-off, several lesser-known names used the tournament to strengthen their cases for NBA consideration.

Isaac Bonga (Germany)

The 6’8″ forward earned Final MVP honors after hitting all four of his three-point attempts and scoring 20 points in the title game. Bonga, 25, played four NBA seasons from 2018-22, averaging 3.1 points, 2.2 rebounds and 0.8 assists in 13.1 minutes. Since moving to Partizan Belgrade—where he is under contract through 2026-27—he has shot better than 37% from deep for three straight seasons and is regarded as one of Europe’s premier perimeter defenders.

Oscar Da Silva (Germany)

The 6’9″ forward, older brother of Orlando rookie Tristan Da Silva, impressed with versatile defense and a willingness to handle the “dirty-work” assignments valued by NBA teams. His current deal runs through 2027 and does not include a buyout clause.

Miika Muurinen (Finland)

The Finnish high-school standout became one of the event’s breakout stories, showcasing explosive dunks and a promising outside shot. Muurinen plans to choose a U.S. college this winter and is already viewed as a potential top prospect for the 2027 NBA draft.

Tyler Dorsey (Greece)

Dorsey, 29, helped Giannis Antetokounmpo lead Greece to the bronze medal. A reliable shooter and secondary ball-handler, he has appeared in 110 NBA games since 2017, most recently logging three contests with Dallas in 2022-23. His performance could prompt Milwaukee to reunite him with Antetokounmpo.

Andreas Obst (Germany)

Obst hit 43.8% of his threes over eight games and is viewed by some scouts as the best pure shooter outside the United States. At 6’3″ he may face defensive challenges in the NBA, yet his elite range makes him a candidate for a specialist role.

Sylvain Francisco (France)

The French guard, who attended high school in Florida, has flirted with the NBA before. Represented by the same agent as Nikola Jović and Nikola Topić, Francisco holds a buyout clause for 2026 that could ease a future move stateside.

Mikael Jantunen (Finland)

The 6’8″ forward, 25, averaged 12 points while shooting 44.1% from three and 91.7% at the foul line. A two-year contributor at the University of Utah, Jantunen’s floor-spacing and size make him an intriguing development piece.

Ercan Osmani (Turkey)

The seven-footer turned heads by converting 56.7% of his three-point attempts. His highlight was a 28-point effort against Greece that included six triples, underscoring a rare combination of size and shooting touch.

With training camps looming, NBA front offices will weigh whether any of these EuroBasket performers merit stateside opportunities or continued monitoring over the coming seasons.
