The Chicago Bulls are not expected to chase a sign-and-trade for Golden State Warriors restricted free agent Jonathan Kuminga after securing Josh Giddey to a new contract, according to Jake Fischer of The Stein Line.

Fischer reported that Chicago could revisit Kuminga in 2026, when the club projects substantial cap space, but no immediate pursuit is planned.

Kuminga is reportedly weighing Golden State’s $8 million qualifying offer, a move that would grant him de facto veto power over any trade and position him for unrestricted free agency in 2026. The Warriors’ standing proposal of two years and $45 million, with a team option for the second season, has not been accepted.

ESPN’s Anthony Slater indicated this week that negotiations between Kuminga and the Warriors have resumed, and Fischer added that talks could intensify in the coming days.

Sixers fielding inquiries

The Philadelphia 76ers continue to take calls on center Andre Drummond and forward Kelly Oubre Jr. While no mandate exists to move either player, trimming salary could give the team greater flexibility to retain restricted free agent Quentin Grimes, Fischer noted.

Kings waive Terence Davis

Sacramento’s release of guard Terence Davis suggests the non-guaranteed contract will no longer be used for salary matching in potential trades, a league source told The Stein Line.
