The Oklahoma City Thunder defeated the Los Angeles Lakers 125–107 on Thursday night in Oklahoma City, claiming Game 2 and moving ahead 2–0 in their opening-round playoff series.

The Thunder never trailed after halftime, widening a single-digit lead into double figures in the fourth quarter and keeping the Lakers at arm’s length the rest of the way. Los Angeles was unable to match Oklahoma City’s scoring bursts, dropping its second straight contest on the road.

With the series shifting to California for Game 3, the Lakers face an early must-win scenario to avoid falling into a 3–0 hole—an all-time series deficit no NBA team has ever overcome.
