OKLAHOMA CITY — The Oklahoma City Thunder went into the locker room with a 58-57 advantage over the Los Angeles Lakers at halftime of Game 2 in the Western Conference semifinals on May 7, 2026.

Oklahoma City, which entered the night up 1-0 in the best-of-seven series, shot 55 percent from the field in the opening two quarters and made 5 of 20 attempts from beyond the arc. Guard Ajay Mitchell led the hosts with 13 points on 6-of-10 shooting, while center Isaiah Hartenstein added 10 points and five rebounds. The Thunder committed seven turnovers and collected 18 boards.

Los Angeles countered with 51 percent shooting and connected on 7 of 16 three-point tries. Austin Reaves scored a team-high 13 points, and LeBron James finished the half with 10 points, five rebounds and two assists. The Lakers turned the ball over eight times and grabbed 17 rebounds.

The game, played at Paycom Center and streamed on Prime Video, featured four lead changes in the final minute before the break. Hartenstein’s floating jumper put Oklahoma City ahead 58-55 with 31.7 seconds left, but Jaxson Hayes answered on the next possession to cut the margin to one.
