The Miami Heat have completed their 21-man offseason roster, signing guards Jahmir Young, Gabe Madsen and Trevor Keels along with forward Dain Dainja to Exhibit 10 contracts, the club announced in a press release.
All four newcomers are expected to battle for a two-way spot during training camp. Miami currently holds two two-way contracts—occupied by Vladislav Goldin and Myron Gardner—leaving one vacancy, although the team could waive either player without salary-cap repercussions to create additional openings.
Player breakdown
Jahmir Young, a 6’1” point guard who went undrafted out of Maryland in 2024, began his pro career with the G League’s Grand Rapids Gold. He later signed a two-way deal with Chicago in February and appeared in six games (30 total NBA minutes) for the Bulls. In the G League, the 24-year-old averaged 21.7 points, 7.0 assists, 4.5 rebounds and 1.9 steals over 43 contests for the affiliates of Denver and Chicago, earning All-Rookie honors and a third-place finish in Rookie of the Year voting.

Historically a 38.2% three-point shooter in college, Madsen demonstrated that range for Golden State’s Summer League squad, averaging 9.2 points on 51.9% from beyond the arc in just 14 minutes per game across six appearances.
Trevor Keels, selected 42nd overall by New York in the 2022 draft, has logged three NBA games. The 6’5” guard spent the past two seasons with the Iowa Wolves, where he averaged 19.8 points, 3.8 assists and 3.3 rebounds on .440/.369/.786 shooting in 46 G League games last year. Keels most recently suited up for Detroit in the 2025 Las Vegas Summer League.
