The Toronto Raptors survived an icy shooting night to defeat the Cleveland Cavaliers 93-89 on Sunday, April 26, 2026, at Scotiabank Arena and square their first-round series at 2-2.
Toronto connected on just 4 of 30 attempts from beyond the arc (13.3 percent), the lowest three-point percentage on at least 25 tries ever recorded in a postseason victory, according to ESPN Stats & Information. Overall, the Raptors shot 32 percent from the field, while the Cavaliers finished at 37 percent.
“We just never flinched; we kept guarding,” head coach Darko Rajaković said. “Whatever it takes, just find a way to win the game.”
Barnes, Ingram lead the way
Scottie Barnes and Brandon Ingram scored 23 points each, topping Cleveland’s tandem of Donovan Mitchell (20) and James Harden (19). Ingram hit three of Toronto’s four triples, including the club’s only make from deep after halftime.
Despite the cold perimeter shooting, Barnes fueled the comeback with play on both ends. He limited Mitchell to 1-for-8 shooting when matched up and held Cavaliers to 3-for-12 overall on shots he contested. “Scottie right now is maybe 60 percent of what he’ll be in two or three years,” Rajaković said. “How much he cares about winning pushes him forward.”
Veteran guard Garrett Temple credited Barnes for steadying the locker room after Toronto fell behind 2-0 in Cleveland. “You could feel he really believed we had found something we could do to win,” Temple said.
Cleveland’s stars struggle
Harden and Mitchell combined for 11 turnovers, with Harden committing seven—more than his six made field goals. The Raptors contested 26 of the duo’s 38 shots; they converted only 6-of-26 (23 percent) on those tries.
“It’s time for us to make an adjustment and just be aggressive,” Harden said. Mitchell added that the Cavaliers must “come back and handle business at the crib” when the series shifts to Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse.
The best-of-seven now becomes a best-of-three, starting with Game 5 on Wednesday night in Cleveland.
