San Antonio Spurs center Victor Wembanyama has been removed from the NBA’s concussion protocol and is expected to play on Sunday in Game 4 of the first-round series against the Portland Trail Blazers, according to ESPN’s Shams Charania and Malika Andrews.
The Spurs listed the 7-foot-4 rookie as available in their latest injury report, confirmation first shared by reporter Mark Medina on social media. Wembanyama had been sidelined since entering the protocol earlier in the week.
Sunday’s matchup will take place in San Antonio, where the Spurs hold a 2-1 lead in the best-of-seven series.
