The Toronto Raptors announced Friday that guard Immanuel Quickley will sit out the rest of the club’s first-round playoff matchup with the Cleveland Cavaliers after re-injuring his strained right hamstring.

Quickley, 26, aggravated the injury while ramping up his activity following a regular-season finale setback against Brooklyn. The hamstring issue follows a late-season spell on the sidelines caused by plantar fasciitis in his right foot.

During the regular season, the fourth-year guard averaged 16.4 points, a career-high 5.9 assists and 4.0 rebounds across 70 games. He reached the 20-point mark 20 times and posted eight double-doubles.

Rookie Jamal Shead has filled the starting role in Quickley’s absence. Shead helped Toronto defeat Cleveland 126-104 on Thursday, a win that snapped the Raptors’ 12-game postseason skid against the Cavaliers and trimmed the series deficit to 2-1.

Game 4 is scheduled for Sunday afternoon at Scotiabank Arena in Toronto.
