Toronto Raptors guard Immanuel Quickley will not play in Monday’s Game 2 of the Eastern Conference first-round series against the Cleveland Cavaliers, head coach Darko Rajaković confirmed.
Quickley strained his right hamstring during the Raptors’ regular-season finale against the Brooklyn Nets and also missed Saturday’s series opener. Rajaković said the 26-year-old went through a workout during Monday morning’s shootaround and another session at practice on Sunday, noting that the guard is “getting better,” but not ready for game action.
In 70 regular-season appearances, Quickley averaged 16.4 points, 5.9 assists and 4.0 rebounds. Earlier this year, he sat out eight games between Mar. 23 and Apr. 5 with plantar fasciitis in his right foot.
The best-of-seven series shifts to Toronto for Game 3 on Thursday, with the Raptors trailing 1-0.
