Report: LeBron James Has Not Decided on Future, No Interest in Farewell Tour

Los Angeles Lakers forward LeBron James has not made any decision about when he will end his NBA career and is not seeking a league-wide farewell tour, according to a report by Sam Amick of The Athletic.
Amick wrote that multiple team and league sources, who were granted anonymity, said James “has made no decisions regarding his future.” The same sources stated that the idea James wants a season-long send-off is inaccurate, with several indicating they heard that directly from the 41-year-old star.
James can become an unrestricted free agent in July, a status that has fueled speculation about his next move. Possibilities raised around the league include returning to the Lakers, joining another contender such as the Golden State Warriors, making a third stint with the Cleveland Cavaliers, or retiring altogether.
For now, neither James nor those around him appear to know what he will choose. Agent Rich Paul recently echoed that uncertainty, telling reporters that “no one knows” what James will do next.
Before any off-season decisions, James and the seventh-seeded Lakers will begin their postseason on Saturday at 8:30 p.m. EST, when they face the Houston Rockets in the opening round.
