April 10, 2026 — A series of injury updates is reshaping Friday’s NBA slate:
Spurs
San Antonio upgraded Victor Wembanyama from questionable to available for Friday’s home game against Dallas. The third-year center must log at least 20 minutes to remain eligible for major postseason awards. He exited Monday’s contest with a left rib contusion and missed Wednesday’s win over Portland.
Backcourt mate Stephon Castle will miss a second straight game. Head coach Mitch Johnson cited “multiple nagging injuries”; the rookie was listed with right knee soreness Wednesday and left foot soreness on Friday.
“Eighty games and the way he plays. It’s real. We’re not just sitting him just to sit him,” Johnson said.
Nuggets
Denver ruled out its entire regular starting five — Nikola Jokić, Jamal Murray, Aaron Gordon, Christian Braun and Cameron Johnson — for Friday’s matchup in Oklahoma City. Jokić will need to play at least 15 minutes in Sunday’s finale at San Antonio to qualify for year-end awards.
Bulls
Matas Buzelis returns from a three-game absence caused by illness and will suit up Friday against Orlando. Isaac Okoro (left quad contusion) remains out but could play Sunday versus Dallas. Josh Giddey (left hamstring strain management), Guerschon Yabusele (left shoulder and elbow sprains), Nick Richards (right elbow sprain) and Anfernee Simons (left wrist fracture) will sit out Chicago’s final two games.
Cavaliers
Jaylon Tyson re-entered Cleveland’s starting lineup Friday after missing ten games with a left great toe bone bruise. He replaces Donovan Mitchell, who is sidelined for right ankle injury management.
Raptors
RJ Barrett was a late scratch Friday against New York due to right knee soreness. Toronto is also without Immanuel Quickley and Collin Murray-Boyles on the second night of a back-to-back. A win over the Knicks would clinch a playoff berth for the Raptors.
