The Chicago Bulls have begun a broad search for new basketball-operations leadership after parting ways with Arturas Karnisovas and Marc Eversley, according to NBC Sports’ Kurt Helin.

Helin reports that the list of early candidates extends beyond previously noted interest in Minnesota Timberwolves general manager Matt Lloyd. The names now under consideration include:

  • Atlanta Hawks assistant general manager Kyle Korver
  • Golden State Warriors general manager Mike Dunleavy Jr.
  • Former Atlanta Hawks general manager Landry Fields
  • Creative Artists Agency executive Austin Brown

Dunleavy, who played three seasons with Chicago during his 15-year NBA career, is viewed around the league as unlikely to leave Golden State, making him more of a wish-list option for the Bulls.

Korver, another former Bull, joined the Hawks’ front office in 2022 and was promoted to assistant GM in 2023, gaining a reputation as a fast-rising executive.

Fields, 37, oversaw Atlanta’s roster from 2022 to 2025, guiding the team to a 117-129 record and one playoff berth. He currently serves as president of league operations for Overtime Elite as the program shifts to a national prep-league model.

Brown, co-head of CAA’s basketball division, represents a high-profile client list that includes Donovan Mitchell, Cooper Flagg, Trae Young, Jaren Jackson Jr. and OG Anunoby.

With their candidate pool still forming, the Bulls are expected to continue evaluating options before moving to the next phase of the hiring process.
