Suns
The NBA has overturned the technical foul Phoenix wing Dillon Brooks received during Sunday’s matchup with Chicago, the league confirmed. The decision keeps Brooks at 17 technicals for the season, avoiding the automatic suspension that would have taken effect at 18 and keeping him eligible for Tuesday’s game against Houston. Bulls guard Mac McClung also had his technical from the same exchange rescinded.
Brooks, who already served a one-game ban after his 16th technical in February, missed more than five weeks with a broken hand before returning late last month. Phoenix is seventh in the Western Conference and continues to chase a top-six seed.
Hawks
Atlanta released forward Caleb Houstan and signed veteran center Tony Bradley for the rest of the season. Bradley, 28, most recently completed two 10-day contracts with Indiana and previously played for Hawks head coach Quin Snyder in Utah. He bolsters the frontcourt after Jock Landale suffered a high ankle sprain. Houstan appeared in 18 contests for Atlanta after converting his two-way deal in February.
Raptors
Toronto filled an open roster spot by signing guard Tyreke Key. The 6-4 guard averaged 16.6 points on better than 52 percent shooting with Raptors 905 this season. The vacancy arose when Markelle Fultz’s 10-day contract expired.
