His late flurry included a driving layup and a deep three that kept the Warriors within striking distance, yet his potential game-winner from beyond the arc bounced off in the final seconds.
Curry, who came off the bench in a regular-season contest for the first time since 2012, received a standing ovation when he entered and later shared rare floor time with his brother Seth during the second quarter.
Houston countered with Kevin Durant’s 31 points, eight rebounds and eight assists, while Alperen Sengun delivered the decisive layup with 11 seconds to play.
Hornets vs. Timberwolves
Charlotte’s late-season momentum continued with a 122-108 victory over Minnesota.
