Golden State center Kristaps Porzingis said he is not ready to decide on his long-term future with the Warriors, noting that several factors will influence his plans once he reaches free agency this summer.

Porzingis, 30, arrived in the Bay Area at the trade deadline and is finishing the final year of his contract. Speaking with reporters, he acknowledged enjoying the organization but stopped short of committing to a new deal.

“It’s hard to say,” Porzingis explained. “Of course, it would be nice for me to go ahead and say, ‘Yes, I want to continue here.’ But the reality is I didn’t have a good year at all. I barely showed what I’m capable of. And so I have to see what’s out there.”

Since joining Golden State, the 7-foot-3 forward has appeared in 12 games, averaging 17.5 points while working back into form after early-season injuries. “For me, I just wanted first to get to decent shape,” he said. “Take care of that, not to put too much pressure on myself.”

Porzingis added that the chance to play next to Stephen Curry, who is nearing a return from injury, is appealing. “Honestly, the team is great here. I haven’t gotten a chance to play with Steph yet,” he noted.

Health, roster fit and other considerations will guide his offseason decision. “I believe I’m in incredible hands here,” Porzingis said. “That means something.”
