Jarrett Allen has rejoined the Cleveland Cavaliers’ starting lineup, but the center acknowledged his right knee is not fully healed. Allen missed 10 consecutive games in March with what team officials described as “severe tendonitis” before appearing in two of the last three contests. Speaking after Tuesday night’s road loss to the Los Angeles Lakers, he told Cleveland.com the discomfort persists.
Speculation about LeBron James’ future also resurfaced. ESPN reporters Tim Bontemps and Dave McMenamin wrote that at least one league observer views a third stint with Cleveland as the most logical next chapter if the 39-year-old star decides to leave the Lakers. Multiple team and league sources said the Cavaliers would pursue that option should James signal interest.
Inside the locker room, head coach Kenny Atkinson’s challenge to Evan Mobley appears to have landed. According to Cleveland.com, Atkinson urged the forward to bring greater intensity after he was left off this season’s All-Star roster. Mobley responded with a noticeably more aggressive approach following the break.
The organization’s G League affiliate also collected hardware. The Cleveland Charge announced that general manager Liron Fanan has been voted the NBA G League Basketball Executive of the Year for the 2025-26 season. League head coaches and general managers determine the annual award.
