Oklahoma City Thunder center Thomas Sorber will miss the entire 2025-26 NBA campaign after tearing the ACL in his right knee, the team announced Friday.

The injury occurred Thursday during a workout at the team’s facility in Oklahoma City. Sorber, 19, was selected 15th overall in June after one season at Georgetown.

His setback marks the second consecutive year a Thunder first-round pick has been ruled out for a full season because of an ACL injury. Guard Nikola Topic, the No. 12 pick in 2024, spent last season rehabilitating a similar injury sustained before the draft.

Sorber averaged 14.5 points, 8.5 rebounds, 2.4 assists, 2.0 blocks and 1.5 steals as a freshman with the Hoyas, earning Big East All-Freshman honors before declaring for the draft.
