The Memphis Grizzlies are signing guard Lucas Williamson to a 10-day contract, according to a report from Michael Scotto of HoopsHype.
Williamson, 25, has split the current G League season between the Memphis Hustle and the Windy City Bulls. Across 46 games, the 6-foot-4 wing is averaging 7.2 points, 2.3 rebounds, 1.3 assists and 1.1 steals in 23.7 minutes.
The Chicago native went undrafted in 2022 after five seasons at Loyola Chicago. He joined the Los Angeles Clippers for training camp that fall but was waived before the regular season. Williamson later spent time with the Edmonton Stingers of the Canadian Elite Basketball League before returning to the Hustle, where he has logged most of his professional minutes.
Memphis continues to cycle through short-term deals as injuries mount. Jaylen Wells (toe) recently became the fifth Grizzlies player to undergo season-ending surgery, joining Zach Edey (elbow), Kentavious Caldwell-Pope (finger), Scotty Pippen Jr. (toe) and Santi Aldama (knee). The club also re-signed Tyler Burton and DeJon Jarreau to second 10-day contracts earlier this month; those deals expire on Wednesday.
