Iowa State junior Milan Momcilovic said he will submit his name for the 2026 NBA Draft but will retain the option to return to college, the forward told Alec Busse of Cyclone Alert 247 during the Big 12 Tournament in Kansas City.
“I probably, definitely, will test the draft,” Momcilovic said. “I think I’ve had a good year and shot the ball very well.”
Momcilovic averaged 16.9 points and 3.1 rebounds across 37 games this season, logging 30.5 minutes per contest. He led the NCAA in three-point accuracy at 48.7% on 7.5 attempts per game and also shot 54.5% on two-pointers and 87.8% from the free-throw line.
The 6-foot-8 Wisconsin native earned second-team All-Big 12 honors while helping the Cyclones finish 29-8. Iowa State, the No. 2 seed in the NCAA tournament, reached the Sweet 16 before falling to Tennessee; leading scorer Joshua Jefferson was injured in the first round.
ESPN’s Jeremy Woo slotted Momcilovic at No. 45 in his latest mock draft, while recent projections from The Athletic’s Sam Vecenie and Bleacher Report’s Jonathan Wasserman left him undrafted. Scouts regard Momcilovic as one of the country’s elite shooters but remain uncertain about how the rest of his skill set will translate to the NBA.
“I don’t know what feedback we’ll get,” he added. “We’ll see if I stay in or come back. That’s still to be determined.”
