Fantasy Basketball Movers: Doncic’s Scorching Run, Questions Swirl Around Antetokounmpo

With three weeks left in the NBA regular season, the final “Risers and Fallers” update spotlights players whose recent performances — or absences — are shaping fantasy basketball lineups as the playoffs approach.

Risers

Luka Doncic, PG, Los Angeles Lakers (100% rostered)

Doncic capped an historic eight-game surge by dropping 60 points in Thursday’s victory over Miami, the Lakers’ 11th win in 12 outings. The guard has scored at least 30 in each game during the stretch and averaged 50 points across his past two appearances. Entering Thursday, he was putting up 34.9 points, 9.0 rebounds, 7.9 assists and 5.0 three-pointers per March contest, then added nine threes and five steals against the Heat. Los Angeles is battling to stay third in the Western Conference, a pursuit expected to keep Doncic’s minutes and production high.

Daniss Jenkins, PG, Detroit Pistons (21.0% rostered)

Cade Cunningham exited Tuesday’s game after five minutes and was later diagnosed with a collapsed lung; the club will re-evaluate him in two weeks. Jenkins filled in with 15 points and seven assists that night, then started on Thursday, logging 34 minutes and a 3-for-16 shooting line of nine points and five assists in a win over Washington. His role, shot volume and ability to contribute steals, blocks and threes make him a short-term add in most formats.

Ayo Dosunmu, SG, Minnesota Timberwolves (33.0% rostered)

Anthony Edwards (right knee inflammation) is expected to miss one to two weeks, opening minutes for Dosunmu. In two games without Edwards, Dosunmu has averaged 21 points, 7.0 rebounds, 4.0 assists, 1.5 steals and 2.0 three-pointers while Minnesota posted consecutive victories. Approximately 34 minutes per night appear available during Edwards’ absence.

Fallers

Giannis Antetokounmpo, PF/C, Milwaukee Bucks (98.3% rostered)

According to ESPN’s Shams Charania, the Bucks and Antetokounmpo disagree on whether he should play again this season as he manages a hyperextended knee. Milwaukee is not yet eliminated but is unlikely to reach the postseason, raising questions about risking its franchise star in the closing schedule. Even if he returns, significant minutes seem improbable; projections set his remaining games at roughly 2.5. Bobby Portis (55.9% rostered) has been productive, while Ousmane Dieng (1.8% rostered) could see late-season opportunities.

Mikal Bridges, SG/SF, New York Knicks (96.0% rostered)

On a Knicks squad sitting comfortably in third place in the East, Bridges has averaged just 7.0 points on 32% shooting over his past seven contests, adding 1.0 three, 0.7 steals and 1.3 blocks. With Jalen Brunson, Josh Hart, OG Anunoby and Karl-Anthony Towns driving the offense, Bridges is trending toward a fifth-option role, limiting his fantasy value during a critical stretch.

Aaron Gordon, PF, Denver Nuggets (71.1% rostered)

Gordon recently returned from a hamstring injury, but Peyton Watson (hamstring) is expected back shortly, crowding a frontcourt that also includes Spencer Jones, Christian Braun, Bruce Brown and Tim Hardaway Jr. Over his last five games, Gordon has averaged 13 points and 5.4 rebounds while shooting 42%. Denver’s priority is to have him healthy for the playoffs, suggesting a potential minutes cap and possible timeshare with Watson down the stretch.

Fantasy managers preparing for postseason matchups may need to act quickly, balancing hot hands like Doncic, Jenkins and Dosunmu against uncertain situations surrounding Antetokounmpo, Bridges and Gordon.
