Golden State Warriors veteran wing Jimmy Butler said he intends to play again next season but is not ready to specify when he might be cleared.

Speaking to reporters during his first appearance with the team since undergoing ACL surgery in February, Butler emphasized that his comeback depends solely on his recovery progress.

“I do want to come back,” Butler said, according to Nick Friedell of The Athletic. “I can’t say when. Obviously, as early as I can to help my guys win some games. But you’ll probably hear me say from time to time—whenever my body’s ready, I promise I’m trying to get back out there.”

The Warriors have shuffled their rotation to compensate for Butler’s absence and have remained competitive, yet the organization still views the 34-year-old swingman as a key component of its long-term plans. For now, Butler’s focus is limited to rehabilitation and patience.
