The Milwaukee Bucks have listed forward Giannis Antetokounmpo as questionable for Tuesday night’s home game against the Cleveland Cavaliers after the two-time MVP exited Sunday’s win over the Indiana Pacers.
Antetokounmpo appeared to land awkwardly on a dunk during the victory in Indianapolis and briefly left the floor. While the play sparked concerns about a knee injury, the club’s injury report continues to cite a left ankle sprain, according to The Athletic’s Eric Nehm.
Head coach Doc Rivers told reporters postgame that he suspected a possible hyperextension on the play but emphasized he was “guessing.” Antetokounmpo attempted to loosen up on a stationary bike before remaining out for the rest of the contest.
Speaking after the game, Antetokounmpo said he planned to rest and reassess his condition: “I’m just going to go back home, sleep, see how I feel tomorrow. If I have a little discomfort, then we’ll go from there.”
Milwaukee will continue to monitor the All-NBA forward’s status leading up to Tuesday’s matchup with Cleveland at Fiserv Forum.
