Luka Doncic said Wednesday night’s overtime thriller against the Denver Nuggets featured “the best atmosphere” he has experienced since arriving in Los Angeles last season.

The Lakers edged Denver 127-125 at Crypto.com Arena, improving to 3-0 versus the defending champions since Doncic joined the franchise. The guard secured the victory with a contested baseline jumper in the extra period, capping a triple-double of 30 points, 13 assists and 11 rebounds.

Austin Reaves’ fourth-quarter scoring surge pushed the game to overtime, but Doncic delivered the decisive basket before a sold-out crowd that remained vocal from tip-off to the final horn.

“I feel like it was the best atmosphere since I was a Laker. The whole crowd was in, it was special to witness that,” Doncic told reporters. “Hopefully it happens more times; I had goosebumps a little bit.”

Los Angeles entered the matchup seeking a statement win to bolster its credentials as a title contender. The victory marked another milestone in the evolving rivalry, one that has shifted in the Lakers’ favor with Doncic on the roster.
