The Boston Celtics rode a sluggish shooting night by the Cleveland Cavaliers to a 109-98 win on Sunday afternoon at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse.

Cleveland opened the game firing from long range but connected on just 2 of 22 three-point attempts before halftime. The early drought stalled the offense and allowed Boston to build a margin the hosts never erased.

Forward Evan Mobley provided the lone consistent spark for the Cavaliers, scoring 24 points and blocking three shots while alternating between finishes at the rim and mid-range jumpers. Guard Donovan Mitchell added 30 points, yet several late possessions slipped away as the Celtics tightened their defense.

Cleveland’s supporting cast found few answers against Boston’s switch-heavy scheme. Sam Merrill rarely shook free, rookie Jaylon Tyson misfired on open looks, and the bench backcourt offered minimal production.

Boston, content to exploit the Cavaliers’ misfires, maintained control throughout the second half and closed out its road win without a serious challenge.
