San Antonio rookie Victor Wembanyama is already looking ahead to All-Star Weekend. After hammering home a two-handed windmill dunk during a recent Spurs win, the 7-foot-4 center said he expects to take part in the NBA Slam Dunk Contest at some point. “I’ll be in the dunk contest one day,” he told reporters.
Jordan Turns Back the Clock
DeAndre Jordan logged more than 31 minutes against the 76ers after seeing minimal action since late October. The 35-year-old center collected 15 rebounds, including five on the offensive glass, and blocked four shots—his highest block total since the 2020-21 season. “Anytime you can go out there and compete in this league, it’s a gift,” Jordan said, adding that he was craving “wine and ice” after the game.
Middleton Lifts Mavericks
Khris Middleton delivered his best scoring performance of the season, finishing with 25 points on 11-of-15 shooting in a victory over the Pacers. According to Mike Curtis of The Dallas Morning News, Mavericks coach Jason Kidd praised Middleton’s size and ability to create separation in the mid-range, emphasizing his importance as a secondary playmaker while Flagg remains sidelined.
