The Dallas Mavericks will release forward Olivier-Maxence Prosper and apply the NBA’s stretch provision to his $3 million salary hit, according to ESPN’s Shams Charania.
By stretching the remaining money on Prosper’s contract, Dallas can spread the cap charge over multiple seasons instead of absorbing the full amount in 2025-26.
HoopsHype’s Michael Scotto reports that the 22-year-old is expected to receive interest from other teams as an unrestricted free agent once the waiver process is completed in the coming days.
