Chicago Bulls point guard Josh Giddey expects to play Thursday against Toronto after completing a full practice on Wednesday. The 21-year-old has been sidelined since January 28 with a left hamstring strain.

Giddey’s return would mark his first appearance since Chicago retooled its backcourt, dealing Coby White, Ayo Dosunmu and Dalen Terry, waiving Jevon Carter, and acquiring Anfernee Simons, Collin Sexton, Jaden Ivey and rookie Rob Dillingham.

Pacers Frontcourt Still Weeks Away

Indiana head coach Rick Carlisle said Tuesday that center Ivica Zubac, who logged limited practice work, and forward Obi Toppin (post-foot surgery) are “making steady progress,” but he cautioned that “it’s going to be a while” before either player returns to game action.

Warriors Evaluate Porzingis

Kristaps Porzingis practiced with Golden State on Tuesday and “looked good,” according to head coach Steve Kerr. The Warriors will decide on the 7-foot-3 forward’s availability for Thursday’s matchup with Boston after a Wednesday scrimmage.

More than a month after being acquired by the Wizards, point guard Trae Young remains out while recovering from a right MCL sprain and quad contusion. Head coach Brian Keefe said Young did not practice Wednesday and has yet to receive clearance for contact drills.
