Free-agent center Mason Plumlee has reached a 10-day agreement with the San Antonio Spurs, agent Mark Bartelstein of Priority Sports told ESPN’s Shams Charania on Tuesday.
Plumlee, now in his 13th NBA season, became available after the Oklahoma City Thunder waived him following a three-team trade deadline deal that sent him from the Charlotte Hornets to Oklahoma City. He appeared in 14 games for Charlotte this season, starting twice and logging just under nine minutes per contest.
Last year with the Phoenix Suns, the 6-foot-11 center played in 74 games and averaged 4.5 points and 6.1 rebounds.
Plumlee joins a frontcourt group that already includes Victor Wembanyama, Luke Kornet, Kelly Olynyk, and Bismack Biyombo, giving San Antonio five centers on the roster.
