The Golden State Warriors have reached an agreement with wing Jeenathan “Nate” Williams on a two-way contract, according to Jake Fischer of The Stein Line.
Williams, 25, fills the lone open two-way slot on Golden State’s roster, allowing the club to complete the move without releasing another player. The vacancy opened when the Warriors converted guard Pat Spencer to a standard NBA contract after the trade deadline.
The 6-foot-5 wing has spent this season with the Long Island Nets of the NBA G League, posting 18.4 points, 6.0 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 1.8 steals over 35 games while shooting 47.2 percent from the floor and 36.5 percent from three-point range.
Williams was in training camp with the Los Angeles Lakers last fall but was waived in October before joining Brooklyn’s G League affiliate. He appeared in 20 NBA games for the Houston Rockets last season, initially on a two-way deal that was later converted to a standard contract. The Buffalo product also logged minutes with the Portland Trail Blazers after going undrafted in 2022.
By adding Williams, Golden State gains a versatile perimeter defender who has shown efficiency and comfort in high-usage roles at the G League level.
