San Francisco, CA – The Golden State Warriors have reached an agreement with guard Nate Williams on a two-way deal, according to a report from Jake Fischer of The Stein Line.
Williams, who also goes by Jeenathan Williams, has been playing for the NBA G League’s Long Island Nets while awaiting another NBA opportunity. The 6’5” shooting guard signed a training-camp contract with the Los Angeles Lakers last fall but was waived in October.
Last season, Williams began with the Houston Rockets on a two-way arrangement, later earning a standard NBA contract. He saw action in 20 games for Houston, averaging 3.3 points and 0.7 rebounds in 7.4 minutes before being waived during the summer.
With Long Island this season, the 25-year-old has appeared in 35 games, posting 18.4 points, 6.0 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 1.8 steals across 34 minutes per contest. He is shooting 47.2 percent from the field and 36.5 percent from three-point range.
The Buffalo product went undrafted in 2022 but logged five NBA games with Portland in 2022-23 and another 22 with Houston in 2023-24. Golden State had an open two-way slot after promoting guard Pat Spencer following the trade deadline, so no corresponding roster move is required.
